Her most well-known role was that of Julie London in the TV series Emergency! Julie London was born in Santa Rosa in California on September 19 19, 1926. She died in October of 2000. After working as an elevator operator, her parents were engaged in vaudeville. One of London's most recognizable roles was in the role of Dixie McCall, R.N. on the television show Emergency! From 1972 to 1978. She was in numerous films, including co-starring alongside Rock Hudson in The Fat Man (1951). Julie London co-starred with Robert Taylor and John Cassavetes in the 1958 film Saddle the Wind and with Robert Mitchum in the 1959 movie The Wonderful Country. The singer-songwriter recorded 32 albums through the 50s and 1960s, and her most popular song was "Cry Me a River". London was nominated for an Golden Globe Award in 1974 for Emergency!. From 1947 until 1954 she was married to Jack Webb and from 1959 until 1999, she was married to Bobby Troup. Julie London, 74, died on the 18th of October, 2000.
